New outlook app not tracking hubspot emails

I’ve had to switch over to the (new) outlook app, and emails are not tracking.

I’ve made sure I downloaded the correct plugin that is running in my outlook I can see that but it just doesn’t populate with the BCC tracking address and I can’t figure out how to get it to work.

Hi @Sophiep1,

Microsoft’s new version of Outlook does not support VSTO add-ins anymore - and that does include HubSpot’s Outlook add-in. More about that here: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Outlook-Sales-Extension/Ending-Development-for-HubSpot-s-VSTO-Sales-Add-In/td-p/886997

This thread also outlines the alternatives from now on.

Best regards!

Hi Karsten,

Thank you for your quick response. I am aware that to utilise any ad-in features it must now be in the web version. I have followed the instructions on Set up the HubSpot Sales Office 365 add-in | Knowledge Base to add the web add in, but despite it then saying “connected to inbox” nothing is still working when I visit the Chrome outlook page.

Do you possibly know how I might be able to proceed from here?

Unfortunately you cannot, Microsoft did an update and HubSpot dropped the ball in being prepared. I have posted this to see if anyone has found a workaround. Concern Regarding HubSpot’s Unpreparedness for Microsoft Update Impacting Email Tracking
I’m disappointed with Outlook Desktop’s compatibility issue with HubSpot for email tracking. This has disrupted my workflow, impacting business functionality. HubSpot’s lack of proactive measures surprises me. Why wasn’t the impact of the Microsoft update anticipated? The alternative of using online Outlook adds complications, affecting email management and multitasking. I urge HubSpot to address this promptly and provide solutions for affected users to maintain trust and loyalty.
