I’m trying to create a basic open rate, click rate, clickthrough rate report for emails in a particular campaign with the sent date on the x axis. I can easily build this report but I can’t figure out how to configure it to display the way I need it.
I don’t want the sent date frequency set as daily because then it shows a bunch of dates with 0 because no email was sent on that date. Similarly, weekly/monthly/etc frequencies don’t work either because although this email is sent once a month, there are rare occasions when the send date gets shifted (so we’ll have one month with 2 sends and the following month with 0 ). I want each email send to be its own point on the x axis without aggregation, but also not displaying a bunch of dates with no data.
Here’s what it looks like if I set up up with send date - daily:
And here it is with Send date - Monthly (You can see what happens when two emails are sent in a month and 0 in another month. Not helpful from a visualization perspective.)
If I set it to daily and use the Min/Max chart settings to set the minimum to 1%, it does filter the empty dates out, but it keeps the bars/lines super skinny and hard to read.
My stakeholders are asking for what I think is a pretty simple report: to display a full year of open, click, and clickthrough rates by individual email issue/email send.
What am I missing? How would you set up this report? They already have a dashboard I’ve created for them, so I’m looking for a report that can be added to a dashboard, not asking them to look at each email individually.
