At the moment, it’s only possible to sync from the production portal to the sandbox, but for complex environments, it would be great to be able to sync from Sandbox to Production.
I’m talking specifically about Workflows.
We build workflows in Sandbox in order to validate ideas and then we currently have to re-create them into Production.
They are usually complex workflows, and having to re-create them manually in production leaves room for error, especially since using custom code and advanced functions in Ops Hub.
Having an option to push a Workflow from Sandbox to Production would save time and ensure no mistakes are made.
I completely agree with this suggestion, and as a new user coming into HubSpot, find it odd and risky why it’s done the way it is currently.
The normal route in other CRM systems I’ve seen or worked in, is development work and training is completed in the Sandbox environment (no damage to live).
With developments, once fully approved and tested, they are pushed to live. Reducing risk and providing a safe place to see how changes interact with the original system.
With training, the Sandbox should be a complete replica of the live environment (from workflows, connectors, advanced finds, …). Enabling a safe environment for new starters or system upgrade training to take place.
By doing these in live carries so much risk. Therefore, my question is where is the value in Sandbox as it stands? As any development effort has to be re-created in live and any training can’t be complete, as it’s not a proper replica.
I 100% agree with this. We are migrating some important functions to Hubspot and have been testing and setting everything up on Sandbox. We’ll now need manually to recreate everything in production, leading to a huge waste of time and high error-risk.
Hey @Crystal_Hopper you are right, this is indeed not a Public Beta feature!
