How do I resolve this error with aws route 53?
I currently have the info below in route53
Hi @TVerstraten,
Thank you for asking the Community!
First, I’d like to share these articles that might be of interest:
- Troubleshoot your domain connection
- Update your DNS records
- This thread “Having issues connecting your domain to HubSpot?”
It can take some time for the DNS to update. Do you still have the error message now @TVerstraten ?
I’d like to invite some of our Top Experts on the subject: Hi @elizheleva, @danmoyle and @TomM2 do you have suggestions to help @TVerstraten, please?
Also, if anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation ![]()
Thank you very much
and have a lovely day!
Best,
Bérangère
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes, it continues, its long past 24 hours and I have checked all those urls prior to even posting this. I have also searched the community but found nothing that matched.
It may be worth noting that with the cname in place the root of the pages are accessible under the proper domain url’s (eg https://www.XXXX.com/XXXX).
Hi @TVerstraten,
Thank you for the additional information! I am sorry to see that you are still experiencing this behavior.
Just to clarify, are you trying to connect the main domain or the email sending domain?
Also, did you follow the steps in this article for Route 53 “Update your DNS records”?
I’d like to share these Route 53 domain threads that might guide you:
- The solutions from @TomM2 and @danmoyle on this thread “Setting up subdomain hosted at Route53 for Email Sending + Primary Marketing Email domain”
- This similar thread “Connecting domain - DNS config conflicting A records”
I believe you can share the domain name of the website with the Community Users publicly so that you can get help.
Unless you really don’t want to, which I would understand.
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @elizheleva, @TomM2 and @danmoyle do you have any tips or advice to help @TVerstraten, please?
If anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation ![]()
Thank you and have a great day!

Hi, @BérangèreL ,
this is now resolved
the solution is outlined above, in an earlier reply, i.e one showing up higher to the top ![]()
Thanks
@BérangèreL thank you for the tag ![]()
@TVerstraten could you share the domain name, as that will help with the troubleshooting? You can DM me if you prefer.
One thing that strikes me straight away is that you’re getting the numbers, not the hs-sites, etc. host info. Are you trying to connect a domain, or a subdomain, and also what type of content you’re linking - website pages, blog, etc.?
If it’s easier, book some time in my calendar using the link below, then you can share your screen and I can help you troubleshoot.
Thanks,
Eli
For everyone’s awareness, @TVerstraten and I had a call and we figured out that the problem was because of a domain redirect that was in place. Once we removed the redirect which was from non-www to www version of the site within Hubspot, the error message disappeared and everything continues to work as expected.
I hope that helps someone else ![]()
Eli
More specifically, the redirect in place was driving the need for the two @
entries. As Eli mentioned, once removed the hubspot check for valid dns
entries no longer required those be present.
