We are receiving this error “There was an issue sending your email. The recipient <email address> on this email thread previously bounced, marked this email as spam or has unsubscribed.” and
bounce back emails “550 5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try double-checking the recipient’s email address for typos or unnecessary spaces. Learn more at Fix bounced or rejected emails - Gmail Helpb16sor221996plz.51 - gsmtp”
This is the first time we encountered this error since we are able to send email successfully to those recipients before and I doubt that those recipients will unsubscribe to our email since they have pending orders to accomplish
Issue started today and we also received a notification from your team that there are issues with Google email services with invalid recipients (hard bounces).
Wanted to share our status page here with more information about this case.
Were the emails that had issues sent 5:20 ET to 7:00 ET on Tuesday, Dec 15, 2020? If so that was the time were hard bounced emails happened due to an issue with Google services.
Some emails were stopped by email protection controls due to these abnormally high bounce rates. Here are instructions for identifying and re-sending emails that were dropped:
1. Identify Impacted Emails: From the Marketing > Email page, review all emails that were sent between 5:20 ET and 7:00 ET for higher than usual bounce rates. You may have sends that were stopped due to especially high bounce rates that will appear in red. HubSpot Login and Sign in
2. Create a list of “Not Sent” recipients: Click into emails that were impacted, and navigate to the `Recipients` tab. Review the `Not Sent` category. Click ‘List actions’ and create a list of those contacts that were not sent the email.
3. Create a list of “Bounced” recipients: Navigate to the `Bounced` category and use ‘List actions’ to add these contacts to the list you just created.
4. Resend the Email: Clone the email & resend to the list of contacts you created in steps 2 and 3. HubSpot will only re-attempt contacts that bounced due to this issue; contacts that have previously bounced or unsubscribed will not be reattempted.
Hi @PamCotton, Sorry but I am not sure about the Steps 2 and 3 on how ot make a list of the Not Sent and Bounced. Can you please enligthen me on that?
I noticed that we are receiving these errors:
error 1: The response from the remote server was: 550 5.1.1 <email adress> recipient rejected
error 2: The response was: 550 5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try double-checking the recipient’s email address for typos or unnecessary spaces. Learn more at Fix bounced or rejected emails - Gmail Help d8sor21402pjx.37 - gsmtp
error 3: Error Icon Message not delivered There was a problem delivering your message to rwhittington@austinseminary.edu. See the technical details below, or try resending in a few minutes. The response from the remote server was: 554 rejected due to spam URL in content
Just to be sure, I checked the affected emails were not tagged under our spam, suppresed nor blocked. I also added them under our Allowed Sender.
forunately, we tried sending the emails again and some were delivered successfully with no bounce back emails. But there are some that are not being recognized even though these users were already added in our allowed senders and they are also added on our contact list. Is it possible to unbounced these emails on your end?
Here is the example.
Could you please send me a private message with the email addresses you are seeing the error? Are these emails sent on the same time it was mentioned previously?
