This would be awesome. I find myself not wanting to add to my “To Do” List because it’s for my morning meeting so I created a new queue for it but I can only have 10 filters at a time.
I have two that I would like to have access to at all times because I use them on certain days, but others I’m using everyday.
3 years after the original post and more than 430 upvote… Still no news from hubspot.
It is very frustrating. Some of these ideas don’t seem complicated at all…
I am currently looking for this feature. Would be great to make custumized properties on task types. Wanted to make a task type for: QBR’s, evaluation etc. for our Customer success Team.
I’ve read through many of the replies above. It certainly sounds like this is a top priority for many of us. We really need to be able to use task types to better organize the work we are doing, including following up with clients, blog posts, complaint review and addressing complaints, writing checks, stuff like this. For example, our accounting team would love to be able to sort for tasks that just relate to making payments so every Thursday they can go through and look at all of the payment related tasks. This would allow them not to be clogged down with payment related tasks popping up with all sorts of other tasks that could be done at any time, versus the one day a week we typically run payments.
Hey here some tasks types that i think will be helpful:
1. For internal purposes for example create workflow, change settings etc and being able to choose what window the custom type will lead to,
2. SMS type - will open the record (optional: will open the integration window like sakari)
3. email specific template type - (same functionality as email task but also populating specific pre-chosen email template/snippet)
4. update specific property on the record - (Will pop up window to update the property same as when property is required to change deal stage)
5. Note type - will open the record and pop up note window
6. Schedule Meeting Type - Will open the record and pop up meeting window
Also once you guys adding this feature please include in the workflows task types as a trigger and also as value equals branch
Upvote. I was suprised that we could not customize the options. The available opions are very limited.
Is there any update on status of this feature! It would be so helpful in making our business run efficiently so we can sort by priority of task and also task category that fits our specific needs.

We really need this to be in place! Custom task types are crucial and we are tired of having to use work-arounds.
100% this needs to be a default feature. in what world does a business only have “to do”, “phone call” or “email” as their tasks - how is this not a property that can be customised/ edited etc??? please help hubspot.

We would like to add Task type: Sales Navigator - Message.
That’s what you do once you are connected instead of using Sales Navigator - InMail.
@sjudson … I wonder if making this a customizable list is ideal because task types might differ so vastly from idustry to industry? Also, the tag/label idea would be another AWESOME feature to have so that we can associate different emails, social posts, newsletters, blogs, etc with more than one campaign or tag and use this to analyze performance based on tags

We need this feature please…as a business we have many different tasks that currently have to fit within to do, but they could be easily categrised if we can add to teh type.
