I think that the ideal would be that the field could be CUSTOMIZABLE and that the types of tasks can be added and modified according to needs.
Because depending on the sector of the company, some categories or others are needed. In our case, a laboratory, we need to create categories of types of analysis by areas.
Another field with labels (with colors) to add to tasks would also be nice.
The ability to make custom tasks would be ideal. This way i can more easily see what type of tasks are open for each client and which team member owns that task.
This would be great and though I understand the frustration, since beginning my journey with this tool 14 months ago, HubSpot’s product team has addressed so many other critical needs, that I can’t really complain. Of course this is the first time in 14 months one of my users ask about the customization potential of task types so for our org, it’s not a hot topic just yet.
Is there any update on this? This request has been brought up since 2020, I guess? Still no updates? This could have been very helpful! Why it seems not being prioritized?
Asking again here as there doesn’t seem to be any answers from HubSpot. The options of Call, Email or To-Do don’t work for us as we don’t sell direct to end users, so the option of adding additional task types relevant for our sales, pre sales and post sales reps would be super useful
Hello! Had there been any update on this request? This will really be beneficial for us, because setting a task and adding on a note just to explain what to do is tedious. Hoping for a response from HubSpot team.
HubSpot Product Team, can you please provide an update on this? There haven’t been any updates for a long time. We need to know whether this feature is on the roadmap to be completed soon.
I’m astounded Hubspot doesn’t accomodate the option to create a new category for tasks. I had this in Salesforce and it was as easy as entering a new line and typing the label of the new category I wanted to add.
It makes NO sense whatsover to associate labels with this as it’s such a ludicrous redundancy for actual workflow and reporting.
