We are fixing a custom quote and would like to know if it is possible to include custom buttons a bit like “download” and “print” that are included in many templates. But the tricky part that we don’t know if it is possible is to have these buttons that can be customised by the person making the quote. The plan is to have buttons that are customised to show information linked to the product that is in the quote. Is this possible to do if we upload the information as pdf in files in hubspot and then somehow get it to the buttons (like when you can put snipplets in emails)? Or do we need to make separate quote templates for each product for this to work?
I hope you can understand what I mean, I am very new to the quote part of Hubspot and find it a bit confusing so a bit difficult to explain…
Hey @Emelie_, thank you for posting in our Community!
One workaround could involve creating separate quote templates for each product variant if you need highly customized buttons. This way, you can tailor the template to include specific buttons and information related to the product in question.
Thanks for the tag @PamCotton I haven’t used quotes in a while but last time I did you’re right, the only way to really customise anything in a quote is by customising the template. There’s no real “quote specific design” in quotes. So you couldn’t have a custom button per quote.
Thanks for the tag @PamCotton, having recently tried to build a few customizations on a quote I can concur with @TomM2 that when you edit the template you’d be creating a consistent button across the quotes - what I’m not sure of (without consulting with a dev) is whether a developer could directly tie that button to a specific file that is saved as a link as a property on the deal record. I’m not sure if that would have as much flexibilty as you’re looking for.
