Create a time delay response in chat bots

Can you please create a time delay option in the chatbots?

Example:

using a concierge bot. If directing to a team member and that team member is unresponsive but is set to available. If the team member doesn’t respond in a set time period that a message could be generated.

This would be great! Our Business Development Rep. handles all inbound inquiries from chat to phone, email, referrals, etc. Sometimes he gets tied up and is not able to reply to chats as quickly as he would like, even though he is set to “available.” It would be great to have a time delay feature to let the chat user know we received their request and will get back to them as soon as possible.

This idea submission would solve a similar issue we are experiencing. Currently, the lack of an if/ else option after an available agent has not responded in X amount of time results in a poor end user experience. The ability to message and/ or direct a user to another flow would be very helpful.

Looks like this functionality is available now. Create a rule-based chatbot.

I think the original question was about setting a delay to first check if an agent has responded to the customer. If the agent hasn’t responded, then send a chat message to the customer. This would be especially helpful when an agent says they’re available, but they aren’t.
