Create a task from a logged email

Status: Idea Submitted

Frankly I’m shocked this isn’t already a capability. There are already links for Pin, Copy Link, Reply All, REply, Forward, and Delete. We need a button or a link to create a task related to the email that either links back to the email or copies the email into the task (the former would be better).

Agree how is this not a feature? As it stands we have to reply and BCC hubspot, or use a forwarding address, then go into hubspot and create a task.

There should be an option to automatically create tasks from emails that require follow-up

This would be a very important feature for us to have to be able to assign an action to our service team and then have the record back to the initial call or email. It would also be good to add comments to emails similar to what can be done for other activities.

Agree with the other responders on here - how is this NOT a feature already in HubSport, a CRM. The system you have there already is pretty awful and it’s easier and quicker to add a task by copy and pasting.

For example, Monday.com isn’t great with email but even it allows you to add a task to a specific board by emailing a specific email address.

Ideas

  1. Allow us to drag and drop an email into HubSpot Tasks (or)
  2. If the email is within HubSpot give as an “Add As Task” button where it opens a Task, copies the details in and then allows us to amend dates, queues etc before saving the Task (or)
  3. Allow us to forward an email to a specific email address

Please sort this out!

is this function still not available?

I agree that this should be a feature. HubSpot: ARE YOU LISTENING??
