Background
We run a video training platform (https://uqualio.com) as web application. As part of our test and quality efforts we have a couple of accounts we use for internal testing - both manual and automated. For the automated testing we run into problems with our chats when they are displayed during the test case execution. We want to suppress chatflows on all URL containing a specific string e.g., “uitest-private”.
Another use case is that our marketing flows do not have to appear in our internal accounts. Again based on a global URL exclusion rule like URLs containing ‘app.uqualio.com’.
Solution
In the Chatflow application a new menu item is added called ‘Global rules’.
In ‘Global rules’ you can set global inclusion/exclusion target rules that cover all chatflows. The same interface and solution as now.
When global target rules are created this is indicated in the Chatflow application. You also see this for each individual rule, when you open the Target page.
It is possible to exclude a specific Chatflow from the global rules.
