Bulk "Go to"-Action Assignment in Workflows

Status: In Development

Status history

Managing complex workflows with numerous branches can become cumbersome when multiple branches need to converge and execute a common action.

To improve workflow design efficiency and simplify this process, I suggest implementing a feature that enables users to bulk assign “Go to” actions in HubSpot Workflows. This feature would allow users to select multiple actions and effortlessly direct them to a designated target action without the need for repetitive manual actions or complex scripting:

An illustrative example showcasing the utility of a bulk “Go to” action assignment emerges within a complex workflow architecture, where multiple branches converge towards a singular pivotal action point.

Here’s how it could work:

  • Select Multiple Actions: Users should be able to select multiple actions within the workflow builder interface.
  • Bulk Assignment Option: After selecting the desired actions, users can access a “Bulk Assignment” option, specifically for “Go to” actions.
  • Choose Target Action: Upon selecting the “Bulk Assignment” option, users can choose a target action to which all selected actions will be linked.
  • Automatic Assignment: Once the target action is chosen, HubSpot automatically assigns “Go to” links from each selected action to the target action, efficiently directing all branches to converge at the designated point.

By implementing bulk “Go to” action assignment, HubSpot can empower users to create and manage complex workflows more efficiently, thereby maximizing productivity and workflow effectiveness.

Hi,

I’m Kenny, a Product Manager for HubSpot’s workflow tool.

*I apologize for the delay on this response, but I would like to share our plans to make this possible. In the new workflow builder, you can drag-select on the canvas all the actions you want, and ask breeze to converge them for you.

That being said, we are replacing the Go-to-workflow action with a run-automation action. This is in development as we speak and it will fulfill the same use cases.*

Thank you all for taking the time to submit, vote and comment on this Idea.

Best,

Kenny
