When we try to push certain contacts to Hubspot we can see the following error against the contact: ‘Unrecognized error: account_upsert_failed’
We can see an additonal error against the contact’s account: 'Unrecognized exception class: unknown; Property values were not valid :- industry:venture capital & private equity was not one of the allowed options: [label: “Accounting” value: “ACCOUNTING” display_order: 1 hidden: false read_only: true , label: “Airlines/Aviation” value: “AIRLINES_AVIATION” display_order: 2 hidden: false read_only: true , label: “Alternative Dispute Resolution” value: “ALTERNATIVE_DISPUTE_RESOLUTION” display_order: 3 hidden: false read_only: true , label: “Alternative Medicine” value: “ALTERNATIVE_MEDICINE” display_order: 4 hidden: false read_only: true , label: “Animation” value: “ANIMATION” display_order: 5 hidden: false read_only: true , label: “Apparel & Fashion” value: “APPAREL_FASHION” display_order: 6 hidden: false read_only: true , label: “Architecture & Planning” value: “ARCHITECTURE_PLANNING” display_order: 7 hidden: false read_only: true , label: “Arts and Crafts” value:…’ “ARTS_AND_CRAFTS” display_order: 8 hidden: false read_only: true , label: “Automotive”
The error is too large to be displayed in it’s entirety but it continues to list out all industries on hubspot. Apollo support have indicated that this is an issue with our crm but haven’t helped me fix it. Industry is no longer a required field and I’m not trying to map it from Apollo anymore.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this error? It’s preventing us from bringing contacts onto Hubspot.
Hey @LFenton20 thank you for posting in our Community!
Please check your integration settings to ensure that the industry field is properly configured or mapped in both Apollo and HubSpot. Even though you’re not intending to map it anymore, there might be residual configurations causing the issue. To our top experts **@Lucila-Andimol, @HubSpot_Corey **any recommendations for @LFenton20?
Thank you,
Pam
Hi @LFenton20 and thanks for the tag @PamCotton,
That you’re experiencing might be due to a mismatch or misconfiguration in the Industry field values between Apollo and HubSpot. Considering the complexity of data mappings, it’s crucial to ensure that mappings are not only cleared of unwanted configurations but are also accurately updated and maintained. Below are some generalized troubleshooting steps to assist you in pinpointing the cause:
- Clear Cache: Begin by clearing the cache in your browser. This step helps resolve issues caused by outdated or corrupt data caches that could be affecting the integration.
- Verify Mapping Settings in Apollo: Access the integration settings in Apollo and review the properties selected for mapping. It’s critical to ensure these properties correctly correspond to the fields in HubSpot you intend to synchronize with. Verify that the field names, data types, and configurations in Apollo match those in HubSpot to avoid discrepancies that could lead to synchronization errors. If discrepancies are found, adjust the settings in Apollo to ensure a perfect match.
- Isolate Problematic Fields: To identify which field might be causing the error, try mapping fields one at a time and pushing data to HubSpot. This methodical approach can help pinpoint the specific field that triggers the error.
- Ensure One-to-One Mapping: Make sure that each Apollo stage or field maps to only one corresponding HubSpot status or field. Avoid mapping multiple Apollo fields to a single HubSpot field and vice versa, as this can lead to conflicts and errors.
- Reinstall the Apollo App: If the steps above don’t resolve the issue, consider removing the Apollo integration and then reinstalling it. This can sometimes fix integration issues by resetting the app settings to their defaults.
- Contact Support: Should the problem persist, reach out to both HubSpot and Apollo support teams. Provide them with details of the issue, steps taken, and any specific errors observed. They can offer more targeted assistance based on their system’s logs and configuration details.
- Consider Using Zapier as an Alternative: If direct integration continues to be problematic, you might need to consider an alternative 3rd party software such as setting up a workflow with Zapier.
Let me know how you go!
