Ads.txt not found

Hi, so Adsense requires to upload your ads.txt file to the root directory, such that it’s browsable like (domain/ads.txt) which we’ve already done but still google is unable to find my file (Not Found status on Adsense dashboard). Now we’ve followed all the guidelines by google in this case (mydomain/ads.txt also indexed on search console) which leaves me to think that I’m doing something wrong when setting up my page in Hubspot. I also found a similar post about ads.txt which explained something about redirect but I’m confused why the redirect is required when google says that if you can see the file in your web browser, it’s likely that AdSense will successfully find it. All I did was added a page under my root domain and uploaded the content which is basically plain text containing publisher-id etc. Also we’re trying to show Ads not on our domain website but infact behind a login page for which crawler access is already setup and status is crawling. I’d appreciate response from you guys.
