I would like to be able to create and filter lists based on whether a contact has more than one email address in HubSpot. Additionally, I would like to be able to edit or remove secondary email addresses in workflows. Out of my 40,000 contacts, about 3,000 have a parent’s email as the primary email, with either a spouse’s or child’s email, or both, as additional emails on their contact record. These were incorrectly merged in the past, before we stored members in HubSpot. I would like to automate the removal of all additional emails.
I also maintain a members database in a custom object called “members” and would like to be able to overwrite the additional email with a workflow based on the property value from the associated custom object record. I currently make changes like this with the main email property, as well as first and last names, since we have a few members who share the same email and have multiple emails on file. I have read the relevant articles and did not find any solutions. Is it possible to add these filters/options right into the HubSpot GUI? Does anyone else have another workaround besides using the API?
I’d like to second this feature and expand to state that there should be mroe visability of these secondayr emails in reporting. At present there is no method to easily pull out the additional emails into a reporting export for my team to process and clear our. There should also be a security filter to disallow use of this field in the future, if not already done. If Hubspot is to use a single email as a unique ID, then don’t allow multiple unique IDs per contact.
absolutly agree @KarlS we work a lot with additional emails on contacts because our product use them as a E-Mail for notifications as an not unique field. Since we now send a lot of emails through HubSpot, duplicates are constantly being created in the system because the email address isn’t stored anywhere as a primary or additional email address, so the Single Send API creates a new contact entry. It would be very helpful to be able to work with these additional email addresses in workflows—such as adding or removing values from the field—and, of course, to use them as filters for lists and segments.
