Adding Sequence Reporting and Analytics to a Dashboard

Current state: Sequence analytics cannot be added to dashboards, nor can you save a sequence report with specific filters or values to return to later

Goal: Have analytics available to click through from the dashboard, or at the very least, allow us to save the view of a sequence report

Who (what type of role or team) is the feature for?

Sales Leadership and Sales Team

What is the goal?

To view all reports from a single location on a dashboard and be able to drill down into additional detail. For example, having a report on the dashboard for the number of contacts in a sequence, the open and click rates, etc., and then having the ability to click into the hyperlinks to see exactly who had opened it and clicked through the messaging or call to action.

What value will this add?

Efficiency. I can’t find a way even to save a sequence with its filters. I’ve chosen to be able to return to it later. Each time, I have to re-enter the values I’m searching for.

Are there examples of other places or products that have this feature?

My company’s (livepro) reporting is extensive and fully customizable. You can create custom dashboards and any reporting while displaying the results as the client requires within that dashboard. You can also schedule reporting, send it in different formats, or export it in various formats.

I have recently been able to save a “Sequence Efficiency” Report to a dashboard. Maybe this has been fixed in recent update.

My challenge is that I can’t filter the report to names that contains XYZ or ABD so I can’t differentiate between the efficiency of different naming conventions. The sequence name filter basically acts as a number filter when it should be a text filter.

@KSprows - this will be a very good feature.

I do have a workaround -- what I did is from a dashboard , click on Actions --> Add external Content , then add the Sequence Performance link.

From there, you can have a clickable record. I hope this meets the expected goal.

Upvoting this strongly!
We use sequences for multiple purposes across our marketing, sales and CS team. In the cases were I want to, for example, find out the best performing sales sequence in a certain period, based on the open rate or reply rate we are currently extremely limited.
Here my key challenges and ideas:
1. I cannot categorise the sequences, except by putting them in folders afterwards (very inconvenient, low adaptability)
→ idea: add a property for “sequence purpose” or such, were i can select Marketing, CS, Sales or more custom options, or allow the creation of custom properties for sequences
2. Current “Sequence Performance” report in the Sequence Analytics section does not allow for sorting, when “rates” is selected instead of “counts”
→ idea: add this sorting… shouldnt be too much of a technical challenge :slightly_smiling_face:
3. Regular reviews are challenging, since sequence data can only be added to dashboards to a limited manner
→ idea: increase the data options when building sequence-based dashboards… like why can i select click rate, meeting rate, open rate, but not reply rate  i would also like to be able to, for example, filter out sequences where <50 contacts were enrolled.
4. The data quality behind “opens” and “clicks” is suboptimal, as it can count automatic email system opens and clicks

→ idea: i know you’re working hard to make that open and click monitoring better, and its tricky due to the email system providers getting more and more secure, but a work around would for example be, to have the ability to filter out clicks / opens which happens < 2min after sendout time…
Sequences is such a powerful feature, and lots of great improvements happened… fixing the above would allow us to use your updates a lot better!
Happy to provide more details if necessary.

Hi everyone,

I’m Ana, the Product Manager for HubSpot’s Sequences tool.

At this time there are no plans to allow sequence analytics to be saved directly to dashboards. That said, we have added Sequence Enrollments to the single object report builder, which means you can now create custom reports on enrollment data and add those to your dashboards.

If anything changes on our end, we’ll update this thread.

Best,
Ana
