I want to talk about a useful report in HubSpot called the “Activity Leaderboard by Rep with Type Breakdown.” It’s great for tracking what our team does at a high level. However, there’s something important missing: it doesn’t track our SMS messages unless we log them manually. Fortuntely, thanks to brilliant HubSpot integrations, we can send and receive text messages through TextRequest that are logged automatically to the appropriate contact recrods rather than logging each communication manually.
But here’s the problem: because of this, our data is incomplete. We need a way to monitor all of the actions our team takes that we consider an important metric. This includes SMS messages, which are a big part of how we communicate.
To fix this, we have two options:
- Integration of Additional Categories: We can make HubSpot recognize and track all kinds of activities in a contact’s record, not just some of them. This way, SMS messages would be included without any extra work.
- A Separate SMS Report: We can create a report just for SMS activities. It won’t be as convenient, but it would give us a close look at our SMS communication.
I know it might not be easy to make these changes, but it’s crucial for us to see accurate activity logs from a high level to ensure our team is using their time wisely, and maintaining important communcations with our prospects and customers.
I hope this makes sense, and look forward to user and adminstrator feedback. Thank you!
