as I understood there is the possibility to apply Right To be Forgotten (RTBF) or "GDPR delete" through the GUI but not through API calls. The API serves only the normal account deletion.
Do you have a plan to enable that feature also through an API call?
Our use case is not about bulk action, but merely automation. When a user ask to be deleted from the website an automated API call will be made to all our 3rd parties to also delete and "forgot" the user from their systems. HubSpot included.
The main goal is provide automation and a smooth process for the users, getting rid of manual interaction from our side.
The requests will be made 1 by 1 when the user enter his personal page and will delete its account. Not bulk deletion will be made.
Hello @ELELEU, that's correct! New HubSpot customers can create their accounts in the EU Data Centre and work is underway to help our existing customers migrate their data to the EU Data Centre. It's a top priority for the company, so we definitely hear you and are working towards a seamless migration.
We also need to be able to apply a GPDR deletion via API to delete HubSpot accounts that have already been deleted in our 3rd parties.
We need to delete accounts beyond 3 years of retention. This deletion needs to be daily processed and can't be done manually due to the huge number of concerned accounts.
We also need this functionality to remove personal information after a specified retention period. Similarly to MathildeLP, we have a high volume of contacts that makes manual deletion too expensive.
This feature would help us a ton too! We have quite a few deletions we'd like to process in a GDPR compliant fashion, and an API would allow us to do so efficiently.
Would love to have something like this so that in the end the customer care colleagues only click on one button in our system all in all other 3party systems a gdpr conform deletion is made. This would save time and money and would make the process much easier for all of us.
I agree - we need to have an automatic GDPR comlpiant deletion capability after a period of non-response to DOI conformation email. We also need a way to bulk delete unengaged contacts in a GDPR compliant fashion, rather than one-by-one. Its been what - 3 years with GDPR already? - and neither of these are yet possible while other platforms have implemented these capabilities - what's up with you, Hubspot??
"For existing customers, we are currently building the ability to migrate existing data to HubSpot’s EU data centre as seamlessly as possible. The EU Data Centre will be available to you in 2022. "
effectively we are waiting that since one year... our salesperson always respond: first trimester 2022... second trimester 200, in fact ... maybe in 2022 ...
