@billsincco I have seen the same thing. The only way to get new data into the quote template when generating the quote is by using custom properties on either the deal or product objects.
Below is a video showing how I used a custom product property to add a rich text product description field.
You could do something similar with your proposals. Create rich text properties for various sections in your proposal. Then the quote creator would edit the product and enter the text.
