Hi, we have a workflow that enrols users based on a contact property condition, emails that user, delays for 1 day, has a random split step, and then emails the user one of two emails, depending on which branch they went down.
When previewing the workflow with the test functionality, the test result is that the workflow will end at the random split step, before any version of the second email is sent.
Selecting different branches with the dropdown does nothing. I’ve also tried a few different contacts and get the same result for all.
Hi @PVanderMerwe
Seeing that you have a Pro Subscription I would flag this with HubSpot Support.
My best guess is that this is either a bug or something that was simply not part of the feature rollout.
FYI - I am seeing the exact same behaviour.
Frank
You were right, I received this from support:
“Our team has confirmed that the reason for this is that you’re using a random split branch. At this time, the testing function hasn’t been fully wired in terms of predicting or showing the full steps someone would take in a split branch. This feature is still quite new, and it looks like the test function for that simply hasn’t been fully built by the product team yet. With that said, our teams can certainly see where this could be confusing or misleading because it looks like a contact would go down a branch then simply end the workflow.”
Thanks, it might be related to a bug on recognizing contacts as marketing contacts. I’ll resolve with support.
