Workflow Simulation Mode

Many HubSpot admins and operations teams build complex workflows that include branching logic, delays, property updates, integrations, and enrollment triggers. Today, there is no safe way to test a workflow end to end before publishing it into a live environment.

Admins are forced to create test contacts or deals, manually trigger enrollments, wait for delays, and sometimes modify real data just to validate logic. This creates unnecessary risk, wasted time, and occasional production errors that impact sales, marketing, and service teams.

I propose adding a Workflow Simulation Mode that allows admins to:

  • Select a test record (contact, company, deal, or ticket) and run it through the workflow in a simulated environment.
  • Visually see which branches execute, which conditions pass or fail, and what actions would occur.
  • Preview property changes, enrollments, delays, and integrations without writing any data to production.
  • Identify logic errors, infinite loops, missing conditions, or unintended behavior before publishing.
  • Share simulation results with teammates for review and approval.

This would dramatically improve workflow quality, reduce support issues, accelerate onboarding of new admins, and increase confidence when deploying automation at scale. It would also reduce accidental data changes and production incidents caused by untested workflows.

This feature would be especially valuable for large portals, multi team environments, agencies, and partners managing complex automation ecosystems.
