Salesforce has a tool called Engagement Studio which includes a rather neat, highly visual testing feature. When you test your records, it shows you which branch a record will flow down and has great alerts to help you see what’s happening:

For non-tech users, indeed any user!, it would be extremely helpful to have a testing tool like this in HubSpot’s Workflow Automation and Sequences.
Happy to be involved in beta testing or providing more comprehensive feedback if this is something HubSpot would like to address.
Thanks in advance
Overall, a much better user experience for testing workflows needs to be built out. If timing is involved, the Test workflow feature is less than helpful as it will not provide any insight into if branches are working as intended.
I totally support this idea as magnificent! Marketing is a deadline driven environment, folks, and we ain’t got time to be messing about for hours confirming the Workflow Automation and Sequences work on a project. Please Santa add this to your list!!
Hi @vanessahunt, @JStreit1, @DebRivero,
Over the next few weeks, we’re hoping to chat with Workflows users for a paid research study on Workflow testing.
Here’s how this works:
- We’ll schedule a 45-60 minute call sometime in the next few weeks
- We’ll chat through a Zoom video link that we’ll send you
- You will interact with a prototype and give detailed feedback, so have your computer ready and click the link to join
Fill out this short survey if you’re interested in participating: Complete the survey
We’ll be in touch with further details if you match the criteria for this study. Once you complete the research study, you will be sent a $75 gift card through BHN rewards to thank you for your time and valuable feedback.
Please note that by participating in this research study, you acknowledge and agree to HubSpot’s User Research Participation Agreement.
Thank you!
