Will this API be discontinued?

I would like to know if this API PUT /email/public/v1/subscriptions/:email_address (documentation: https://legacydocs.hubspot.com/docs/methods/email/update_status) will be discontinued?
I’m doing an integration with Hubspot and this API v1 works great for me. However, as the current version of the documentation is at v3 (documentation: Accounts Dashboard | HubSpot) and this API I’m using is still at v1, I’m afraid it will be discontinued and stop all my integration.
I’m using v1 API in the integration because with it I can re-subscribe a type of subscription that was canceled. In v3 API I cannot re-subscribe a type of subscription that has been cancelled.
I didn’t find anything talking about the “lifetime” of this v1 API, and so I would like to know if I can use it without worry.

Hi @GBernardi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

I’m checking this with our API team, I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Hello, @MiaSrebrnjak,
Do you have any news about this?

Hi @GBernardi,

Thanks for the ping, I’ve heard back from our product team!

The v1 API you’re referencing above will eventually be deprecated, but that isn’t going to happen until at least next year, at which point the team should have a new API in place to replace the one you are currently using.

I hope this helps!

Hello @MiaSrebrnjak ,
Thank you very much for the feedback, this will help a lot with my integration!

Just one more question, can I follow where these updates are made to the APIs? Do you have a specific place for this?

Of course, you’re very welcome! :slightly_smiling_face:

@GBernardi I recommend subscribing to the HubSpot Developer Changelog, but our team usually communicates a feature sunset proactively via other channels as well (email or in-app alerts).

Cheers
