When course-properties in forms and mails?

We are an educational institution and I have activated the course object. I have already spent quite some time converting our working method in Hubspot because this add-on seemed promising, but I am now running into 2 important things that do not work.

The course properties cannot be added to emails and forms. This means that no workflow is possible. It would be nice if this function could be activated as quickly as possible, because at the moment it is not of much use… Already posted this as an idea.

Hey @ShannaVKE

Kindly go through this thread here

Thank you, that’s no solution, unfortunately. I need to sent my students e-mails, and it appears not (yet) to be possible to use course properties in (automated emails). This prevents me from using my entire workflow, and is really a disappointment at this moment.

Hi @ShannaVKE,

You’re correct – we have course-based workflows but we don’t get to add course personalization tokens in emails. For now, that’s simply a limitation of the new data model options (which are a very young feature) and I’m not aware of a workaround within this new data model. Workarounds would currently involve, ideally, using a custom object that supports both workflows and customization options. Custom objects are only available in Enterprise subscriptions.

Your HubSpot Ideas post is an important step, and we’ll probably simply have to be patient until the functionalities are expanded. I’m sure the product team will look into this eventually, they might be doing so already. Until then, it’s probably the best course of action for you to use your previous process, unfortunately.

Don’t shoot the messenger.

Best regards

Thank you Karsten. Unfortunately, my message on the ideas forum has not yet received a response or vote, hopefully this will be done soon. We’ll wait! :slightly_smiling_face:

Just adding a link to your Idea @ShannaVKE!
