Website Page View to Static List Workflow Help

Hello All!

I am trying to create a workflow automation that, when a customer visits our products page, adds said customer to a static list. I have already added the cookie banner to the website and have tested the tracking with an internal email and I can see the activity through the contact listing, but my workflow is not working.

I have my contact trigger set up as a Base URL with the URL of the products page. I’ve also tried the Path URL trigger. After the trigger, it is set to add them to a static list and then email me a confirmation. Is there something I am missing or a way to better format this? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @vlower,

Can you share a screenshot of your workflow?

Hey there! Thanks for the quick reply! The workflow screenshot is below!

@vlower thank you. Have you tested your contact using the test feature? Test your workflow

Yes! It says that the example contact that I am using to test would be enroll and the rest of the workflow would trigger, but I had not gotten an email and the contact is not added to the list.

Hi @vlower,

Was this contact enrolled before? You have re-enrollment disabled (see enrollment criteria), so any previous test could block repeat enrolment.

When in doubt, enable reenrollment, turn the workflow off, back on and include contact who meet the criteria already.

Hm. I just want to make sure that when real customers (not the example contact) visit the page (even if they’ve visited it in the past) they’ll still be added to the list. What branching trigger would I use if I wanted to check list enrollment before adding them to the list or is this even necessary if the only thing in the workflow is adding to the list? The example contact was never added to the list. Thanks in advance!

Hi @vlower,

No need to check whether the contact is already on the list. If they are, nothing happens. If they aren’t, they’ll be added :slightly_smiling_face:

Okay! Great! Thanks so much for your help! :slightly_smiling_face:
