see both images when I try and add a new note I’m clicking where it says take notes and it will not let me type and with my current note there is no edit button just the delete and close button. Besides updating the app I did not change any settings or do anything differently

I tested with my iOS app and I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue you described.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please make sure you’re using the latest version? (iOS here, Android here)
After doing this and if you still see issue in writing a note, could you please share these information?

- Your device
- Operating system (e.g. iOS 14.4)

I did everyting you had said (previously and double checked)
It is still showing up doing the same thing.
wwhen I click on a Note the only options I have are Close or Delete
and when I open up to add a new Note no keyboard will open up to let me type anything

Additionally, could you please share the exact steps you are taking? (i.e “Open up a contact record > Click [edit]”)
Because on my end, I am able to edit the existing note and create a new note via iOS mobile app at the moment.

IOS/ Ipad
In the app I Open up Company / Click t company / Click Activity / The Note pops up / Then the only options are Close or Delete.
Additionally when trying to add a New Note I will click on Add Note / When I click where it says “start typing to leave a note..” nothing happens (no keyboard comes up or anything)
Thank you for your patience here while I was partnering with my colleague who has iPad.
So there were 2 behaviour you described:
- When trying to edit the existing note, there’s only “close” and ” delete” buttons and cannot edit it
- When trying to add a New Note I will click on Add Note / When I click where it says “start typing to leave a note..” nothing happens (no keyboard comes up or anything)
and we were able to reproduce 1 with both iPad and iPhone. I will check with the internal team to confirm if this is expected behaviour or not. For #2 we were not able to reproduce, the keyboard pops up immediately and we were able to type directly into the note editor. That said, it’s possible that something unique to your environment is causing this.
Could you please power off/ power on your iPad, un-install/ reinstall the mobile app and see if that resolves #2?

So it seems #2 (adding the notes and actually being able to type) let me earlier today do that.
However I still am not able to edit any notes.

I reached out to the internal team and they confirmed that “editing note” isn’t a featuer for iOS at this time. They plan to re-introduce editing feature (the timeframe isn’t specified), however, right now there’s only “close” and “delete” buttons and that’s how working as designed.

thank you for getting an answer for me! out of curiosity why would they remove that? it seems to defeat any purpose of using the app if you can’t have an easy option to edit any notes/meetings etc .

I’m not entirely sure what have been discussed on this decision, I’m afraid. However, I can share that it is their ambition to re-introduce the feature later time.
It is very odd that something as basic as editing a note or call log is unavailable. I like to dictate and then save part of the conversation before moving on as this avoids the potential to lose data.
I look forward to the editing feature on the app being introduced.
