update deal name

I have a form where if someone fills it up a deal name is created with his name and a dropdown property named ‘apply’. Now after the deal creation sometimes the ‘apply’ property needs to be changed to some other value. but then the deal name doesn’t get updated for that value.

Any suggestion how to create a workflow for that?

Hi @SMomo,

Here’s what you could do:

  1. Create a deal-based workflow
  2. Enroll based on ‘When filter criteria is met’ > ‘Apply is known’
  3. Enable re-enrollment for that enrollment filter
  4. Use the ‘Edit record’ workflow action to update the deal name, using the personalization tokens for ‘Apply’ and the other constituting elements of your deal name

Apply property is contact property. Will it the workflow would be same for that as well?

@SMomo in that case, you would have to create a sync property first that makes the value available on the deal object first so you can use it for re-enrollment: Create sync properties that copy data to associated records
