How could associate an Unknown Visitor with a Contact using de API?
Hey @EPettigrew! Thanks for this post.
I understand your goal is to associate an existing or new contact with unknown visitors. Could you provide some more context about your goal? Where will the Unknown Visitor be interacting with your website-- is it through a chat?
HubSpot does have the Visitor Identification API, though it is highly dependent on an established authorization web application.
The more context you can provide to the Community, the better we can help!

Kennedy
Thank you for your response. In a Hubspot Inbox conversation, I receive
messages from people who write to us via Whatsapp. I am reading the content
of those messages using webhook. When I have certain data of the person,
through this conversation, I create a Hubspot contact. And what I would
like to happen is that once that person becomes a contact in Hubspot, in
the Inbox conversation, he/she will stop showing as Unknown Visitor, and
will be associated to existing contact that I created previously. I am
creating the contact with this data: First Name, Last Name, Email, and
Whatsapp Phone Number.

Thanks for that context! I want to invite some subject matter experts to see if they have any suggestions.
Hey @Teun, @coldrickjack, @StjepanGrcic! ![]()
Currently, @EPettigrew is using a webhook to create contacts from Unknown Visitor Whatsapp messages in the Conversations Inbox. Do you know if there is a way to then associate that conversation with the new contact created from the webhook?
Thanks!
