Making the default Hubspot ‘Deal Name’ property a unique field is a priority feature for my team. We’ve had significant issues with deal forecasting and pipeline reviews due to deals with identical names having the wrong amounts, dates and statuses entered against them. The current workaround is a periodic cleanse of deal names which is time consuming for our team, and does not prevent duplicate deal names being created between cleanses.

Same issue here. Our Deal Name is our unique identifier.
I’m not sure how your data for Deals is sourced though if if helps we created a new unique deal property so that it cannot be duplicated by the automatic import from our job database.
We automatically generate deals via a form, but now it just makes the same deals twice when people think they need to send it again… Is there a way to prevent creation if the name is not unique?
