Hi HubSpot,

If i unbounce a contact and it gets a hard bounce record again, would I be able to unbounce again? My question is whether there is a limit to number of times I can unbounce a contact.

Hi @DGanasan,

No, there is no documented limit. After repeated hard bounces, you might have to contact HubSpot support via the in-app widget. In those cases, you need to provide proof that the email address is in fact still valid and can be emailed.

I’m not aware of a status where a contact would stay permanently marked as hard bounced and thus excluded from emails.

Thanks for your response. Can i confirm that hard bounce will be reverted if they submit a HubSpot form?

Hi @DGanasan, no, a form submission does not affect the hard bounce status. A form submission will not reset it. (Just think of someone repeatedly submitting as “jane.doe@gmail.com”, creating bounces and harming your sender reputation.)
