Hi, I would like to change the settings so emails from our CEO and CFO are not tracked internally, without using the IP address or turning off tracking completely. I am wondering how other companies manage this.
Hi, thanks for the reply. Does that work for logging and tracking? Right now I am only able to prevent the logging of emails.
This will prevent any emails from being logged, if the “track” option is still checked via the extension, those emails will still be tracked.
Hi @EKehler,
There aren’t any settings specifically for this, exempting users from the portal-wide settings under Settings > Activities > Email Log & Track.
The only option I see is for your CEO and CFO is to disable tracking when sending emails through the HubSpot sales extension, to not send emails from the CRM and to not send emails from the HubSpot mobile app. They could also send emails from their desktop or mobile email client and only log emails using the BCC address: Log email in your CRM with the BCC or forwarding address
I’ve answered a similar thread here: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Account-Settings/stopping-email-logging-tracking-only-for-one-user/m-p/626440
If you want more options from HubSpot, you could request them in the HubSpot Ideas section of the community: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas
These requests submitted to the HubSpot Ideas section of the community are reviewed by the HubSpot product team, based on their popularity and the assumed demand. I’d recommend commenting and upvoting.
Have a great day!
hey @EKehler
if you are using the chrome extension for example for Google
you can set as Jennifer said the never log here:
/you can also set this up generally for the Portal
in Settings >General >Email (Tab)
Hope this helps
