Now that the Media plays of Hubspot hosted videos are recorded as an activity on the contact timeline, it would be great to be able to use that information to trigger workflows as well.
The goal for this request is to be able to send for example Slack notifications or create other automated follow-up actions when someone starts viewing/completes viewing a specific video.
This would be very useful for both marketing to categorise lead actions as well for sales to get notified when an opportunity of theirs watches certain high value videos etc.
The feature already seem to exist for example for Wistia integration users, and possibly other integrations as well. However, for us who have chosen to go with the Hubspot hosted videos because of the contact timeline feature don’t have the option to use these Media play activities in workflows.
So, please add this missing feature for Media play activities Hubspot!
100% support this - same goes for the ability to include media plays in lead scoring. I can’t seem to find a way to include that when Hubspot video is the player but it would be highly valuable to be able to take that into consideration without needing an external video hosting site like Wistia in order for the views to count!
I had same idea! I strongly request Hubspot to implement this feature because video is one of indication to fliter high good leads !
I agree with this, would also be nice to be able to branch a workflow based on whether or not someone has viewed a video on a page.
Hi All - You can now trigger a workflow based off of Media Plays! This means that you can trigger a workflow when a contact plays a media file that you’ve stored on your HubSpot account (whether that media file is embedded in an email, webpage etc.). You can also use this event in the delay until action to delay until someone plays the media file.
To use this event trigger, create a contact workflow, select the trigger option to trigger when an event happens, and then when setting up your criteria, select Media Plays. You can then filter by the page its on, the media name, etc.
