I hope this one is small enough to be worth a look, because it would make a real difference in our day-to-day.
Today, sortable tables in HubSpot support a single sort column. You click a header, it sorts, and that’s it. The trouble is that most of our data has a lot of ties, and once the primary sort is applied there’s no way to bring order to what’s underneath it.
The ask: add a secondary sort. Just two levels—a primary column and a secondary column. Nothing fancier than that.
A few examples of where this would help us:
- Deal reviews: close date, then amount—so the largest deals surface within each date group.
- Ticket triage: priority, then create date—so the oldest ticket in each priority band comes first.
- Contact cleanup: lifecycle stage, then last activity date—so stale records are easy to spot instead of buried.
- Pipeline hygiene: owner, then deal stage—so it’s obvious at a glance where work is piling up.
Right now our workaround is exporting the list, sorting it in a spreadsheet, then coming back into HubSpot to actually do the work. It works, but it pulls people out of the platform for something that feels like it belongs inside it, and every export is one more place data can drift out of sync.
Where we’d love to see it: anywhere a sortable table lives—CRM index views, saved views, report tables, and association tables and cards. Basically, if a column header is clickable, a second level would help.
Genuinely optional extras, if they’d ever make the cut:
- Let the secondary sort save with the view, so a team inherits it automatically.
- Show a small “1” and “2” on the sorted headers so it’s clear what’s being applied.
We know the roadmap is full and there are bigger fish. But this one would be felt immediately by admins, ops folks, and reps alike, and I’d be so grateful to see it get some consideration.
