So, my client is in a Starter Customer Platform with 1 core seat. For the moment I am using this seat as Super Admin to build her website. She has View Only.
I want to set myself as Partner Admin but in order to do so, there needs to be a second Super Admin. But I can set her status to Super since there is only 1 core seat and I am the Super.
Yeah - that’s tricky since you can’t set yourself as view only while you’re a super admin. It’s not ideal, but I’d probably purchase another core seat for the time being. Once that’s complete you’d be able to assign her a seat, make her Super Admin, and then change to Partner Admin.
@Cé_Walhalla Am I missing something here? :). You could transfer the super admin ownership back to her and go to view only for the time being and then ask her to add you as a partner? That way she stays as the super admin and you get the partner role?
@Onkarv super admin status cannot be transferred – you would first have to grant it for another user, then remove it for yourself, which means there’s a short point in time where two people must be super admins.
Edit: I stand corrected, as you point out in your next reply, HubSpot has indeed introduced an option for this.
@Onkarv nice one! I was not aware of this. I updated my previous reply with a note labeling it as incorrect. This should indeed solve the original issue then, thank you for sharing.
@Cé_Walhalla Go to settings > Users and teams > Seats > Transfer your seat to the other member. She now has the super admin access to add you as a partner.
