As a HubSpot developer, I would like the ability to natively support multilingual setups for any custom Properties pushed via API. For example, if I create an enum property for “Campaign Channel”, I’d like the ability to:
- Provide pre-translated values for labels. If the field is called “Campaign Channel” in English, I’d like to provide 「キャンペーンチャンネル」 as a prebuilt translation rather than rely on the end user to translate.
- Provide a way to map property value labels back to different languages without changing the underlying property value. For example, if I have the value “ppc_retargeting” as an option, I’d like to prepopulate “PPC Retargeting Ad” for English and 「PPCリターゲティング広告」 for Japanese. Both should resolve to “ppc_retargeting” as the stored value, but allow for local translations when shown in UI.
- Provide a way to set localized help text as appropriate for the Property.
- Have graceful fallback for translations; if the user does not have Enterprise Edition installed, select the proper default language and only use those values.
