I am looking for a simple way to store stock control in Hubspot. We sell trackers and only have 2 types, I would like a simple way to store the number of stock we have on hand in HubSpot and have a total value on a dashboard. Is this possible?
Hi @MHemsley , I think the best way to do this would be with a Custom Object, even with just 2 types, there really isn’t another object that’s going to make it easy to do this. Perhaps @jolle has an idea?
It doesn’t look like there’s much out-of-the-box functionality here (other than HubSpot products), but here are some options you can explore.
Custom objects could definitely be used to represent your two products, but I’m not sure how they would be updated (or how often you need them to updated).
Honestly, it sounds like you may be better off using an integration here. Inventory Panda could be promising (though it has less than 10 installs). If you’re currently using an inventory managment system, you may also be able to sync through Zapier.
I think your biggest challenge is going to be keeping your inventory counts current in HubSpot. I’m not sure exactly how you’ll be using this data in HubSpot, but depending on the integration lift (and your current HubSpot subscription), this function may be better handled in a system specifically designed for inventory management. That said, it looks like some users have figured out solutions that work for them, so hopefully you’re able to get at least close to what you’re after!
Thank you for your reply, I thought i would let you know how i did it. I went with the option to create some custom properties and adding them to a company which I named Stock. I then created a seperate section called stock and added them to the company. Like below
