Hi,
I am looking for a way to store temporary information about a contact in HubSpot and hoping you can help me understand.
In the past I used a different CRM/automation tool which stored information like the original poster suggests in a “Custom Object” - these “Custom Objects” stored field data independently from what HubSpot would call a property and is a huge game changer for data coming in from other sources and integrations.
We were able to use these objects to (for example) store a unique link for contacts to take a survey- wouldn’t it be silly to store a unique link like this on a property (this info would eventually expire)? It was also likely that contacts could have other unique links associated with their contact for private webinar sessions for example. Where can we store information like this in HubSpot?
The idea is temporary storage where the email address is not the unique identifier (because maybe the unique identifier is an event or a survey ID with email address). The custom object acted like a mini CRM.
I have been looking at “Custom Objects” in HubSpot in hopes that these behave in a similar way, but each field we create becomes a new property anyway?
Would like to know, what is the intention for us to use these Custom Objects? What purpose do they serve? And also, is there anything in HubSpot that does mimic this idea of temporary storage? Thanks!
