I understand that you have to manually add or remove records for a Static List, but does this also include anyone who unsubscribes from the email? Or do unsubscribers get remove from any lists automatically? Thanks
Hi @JHPremierCX
HubSpot don’t automatically remove the records that are unsbscribed from a static list. But, we can do that through an automation. In that automation use Unsubscribed from all email = TRUE and then add action remove from static list, then enter the name of the list. It will remove the unsubscribed reocrds from the list. Hi @JHPremierCX,
Lists could be used for more than just sending marketing emails, so no, HubSpot does not automatically remove contacts from lists if they’re unsubscribed. Generally, static lists freeze in time and don’t change at all, except from records being deleted / removed from your CRM entirely.
It sounds like you’re asking whether HubSpot takes care of unsubscribed contacts, and yes, HubSpot automatically removes unsubscribed contacts (either fully unsubscribed or unsubscribed from the subscription type chosen for the marketing email) from a marketing email send. This happens at the moment of sending an email and is not reflected in the list.
In other words, even if a contact is on a static recipient list, HubSpot will not send emails to unsubscribed contacts.
If you want a list that reflects the expected recipient count, you would have to create a new list and filter for Unsubscribed from all email is False.
Best regards!
