Sorting contacts by lifecycle stage issue

I want to sort my contacts by Lifecycle Stage. I want them to be in sequence, as in About the Contact. I.e. Subscriber, Lead, Marketing Qualified Lead, Sales Qualified Lead, Opportunity, Customer, Evangelist, Other,

But when I click sort, the sequence is strange. I can’t identify the logic with which it is being sorted.

Hi @RezoLomidze,

Each Lifecycle stage value also has an internal ID, HubSpot might be sorting by this internal ID. For some default properties, sorting is unfortunately not always reliable.

Could you explain your use case of sorting by lifecycle stage a bit more in detail? Would it not maybe make more sense to create filtered views for each lifecycle stage? Create and manage saved views

I’m trying to create a unified contact list I’m working on. I have relationships with contacts in different lifecycle stages, so I want the list sorted from the later stage to the top to the earlier stage to the bottom. I want a unified list so I can easily understand how many contacts I currently have to work with. Filtered views wouldn’t provide the same comprehensive outlook.

The final solution I came up with is as follows: I included a number in the name of each lifecycle stage, added a new field where I’m entering just stage numbers, and sorted the list with this field. Works fine
