I want superuser to have full access to that inbox
I want users NOT to have full access (as everything comes in on that) but I want users to have the ability to SEND emails from the inbox (ie Dave from book@domainname.com) and be able to receieve replies
How does one do this please?
Its the free plan.
It keeps saying they need to add their personal email address which obviously I do not want.
Hey @ARawson this wouldn’t currently be possible within the conversations inbox. The user will always use their currently logged in user information as their conversations information. So the email of the user they’re currently logged in as will be used.
What you would need to do is set up your team as their own individual users within the HubSpot portal and give them inbox permissions. This way they could still have access to the inbox that book@ receives mail to, but they would reply from their own emails. For example I could email book@, Dave sees this ticket and assigns it to himself, then he replies and the email would come from dave@
You wouldn’t be able to have a single user for book@ who has both super admin permissions and inbox specific permissions for your team depending on who is logging in, everyone would need their own users to have different permissions.
Hey @ARawson there’s no real way for HubSpot to know who’s sitting behind a keyboard. So a logged in user is a logged in user. There’s no way to segment a single user based on who’s sitting behing the keyboard. The whole point of user permissioning is that different users (who need a unique email and login) have different permissions. There’s not really a physical way to have a single user with different permissions at different times.
You would set up users with their own emails, I’m not sure if it will work but if you have a “+something” on an email it counts as a different ermail.
