Hi. I’m training an SDR through MS Teams, screen sharing the HubSpot UI. When making calls to prospects, the person I’m sharing with can only hear me and not the prospect’s audio on the call.
I’m on a Mac and using Chrome as my browser. I’m using the Team desktop app.
I’ve done a few searches here in the community and through Google and double-checked a variety of settings, but I can’t get the audio to share fully.
Surely I’m not the first to attempt this. Any tips, tricks, help - is this possible?
Thanks!
Hi @TomFeary70
-
Teams is only sending your microphone audio; the prospect’s voice lives in Chrome’s output stream, and on macOS Teams won’t capture that unless you explicitly share “computer sound.”
-
Update to the latest Teams desktop app → click Share content (screen icon) → toggle Include computer sound; on macOS this installs the Teams Audio Capture Extension the first time and asks for Screen Recording permission—grant it in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen Recording, then stop/start the share (Microsoft guide https://support.microsoft.com/office/share-sound-from-your-computer-in-teams-meetings-164d8e73-7f43-4b94-ab42-6d50b14aef36).
-
If the toggle never appears you’re on the older “classic” Teams for Mac, which never got system‑audio sharing; switch to the new Teams (top‑left toggle or download from Your request has been blocked. This could be due to several reasons.).
-
Still silent? Route audio through a virtual device: install BlackHole 2‑ch (free, MIT‑licensed GitHub - ExistentialAudio/BlackHole: BlackHole is a modern macOS audio loopback driver that allows applications to pass audio to other applications with zero additional latency. · GitHub), set Mac Output to BlackHole, set Teams Mic to BlackHole, and monitor via Bluetooth/3.5 mm headphones on a second output (“Multi‑Output Device” in Audio MIDI Setup).
Now Teams transmits everything Chrome plays, including the prospect. -
If you’d rather avoid virtual routing, record the call inside HubSpot (requires Sales Hub Pro/Enterprise), then play the recording over Teams with “Include computer sound” for playback critiques—cleaner and no live‑audio gymnastics.

Hi! @TomFeary70 You likely need system audio coming through the call since it sounds like your audio source and visual source are seaparated
Your browser may have settings for this, depending on which one
