With the new version of Sandbox sync we end up not being able to update resync our sandbox with our production portal after the time it was created.
While an intentional design to reduce issues faced with the resync this means we have to deleted and recreate the sandbox which is a lot of effort. It would be great to have a way to update the sandbox with updated data.
100% agree with this. This is a massive pain point for anyone using Sandboxes for ongoing development.
Having to delete and recreate the sandbox every time you want to refresh the data not only destroys all work-in-progress QA, but it also adds hours of unnecessary manual work just to reconfigure what’s missing.
A sync mechanism is a fundamental requirement for professional change management. Fully supporting this request!
Some kind of resync or a targeted manual sync would be great (sync by segment?).
I haven’t been finding the new sandbox as useful as it could be because we have to manually move some data from prod to the sandbox in order to test out stuff because the data wasn’t there.
