Why the previous dates can’t be exported back when reversing changes? All the new values mess up with the reports as they appear in the “this week”/“this month” report.
Hi @LinasL,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community!
I created a new post for you so that it can get more visibility and help! ![]()
I’d like to ask clarifying questions just to make sure that I understand correctly:
- Could you please give us the exact step you took to make the changes, please?
- Also, what is happening? Did you proceed with an import and you don’t want the new values to be appearing in a report, is that correct?
- So, in a property, you had a value A, then you edited it to be value B, and in the report you see the value A?
The more info, screenshots (without sensitive/confidential information), and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist.
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation @Franci, @johnelmer and @Jonno_Price do you have any tips to help @LinasL, please?
Also, if anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation ![]()
Thank you and have a great day!

Hey Berangere,
As Hubspot does not allow the creation of funnel reports combining 2 different objects - Contacts and Deals (i.e. Lead → Deal stage 1 → Deal stage 2 → Closed Won) we need to find the workarounds. So we are trying various options to achieve this or something similar and sometimes it goes wrong.
In this particular instance, we created a workflow, that adds contact to the list if a specific condition is met. However, we also have a workflow that changes a Lifecycle stage for contacts in that list. When we enabled the 1st workflow and let it run the Lifecycle for hundreds of contacts changed with today’s date. So when we check reports for this week or this month we have skewed and inaccurate data.
I was going to reverse changes with the “Export Property History” and Importing the previous values but on the last step of the Import the date of the previous change cannot be mapped to the date the property was changed because it’s “read-only”.
I understand that allowing a change of dates may create a lot of mess, but a quick “undo/reverse” option should benefit a lot of Hubspot users I believe.
Cheers,
Linas
Hi @LinasL,
Thank you for the additional information and valuable feedback!
I can see that this idea “Workflow Undo Option” is now in planning
So I don’t have a timeframe but the Product Team is working on it!
I’d recommend supporting the Idea with an upvote and explaining your use case in the comments.
Our product team uses that forum to collect ideas on how we can improve the product for our customers.

Hello @LinasL
It’s definitely inconvenient that there is no way to undo bulk property changes. I agree that a “quick undo/reverse” option would be a helpful feature. Although you can try exporting the report data and then manually editing the dates in the exported file. This is a tedious process, but it would allow you to correct the data in the reports.
Hi @LinasL,
Good news, HubSpot has released a dedicated feature for this now
HubSpot Login and Sign in
Restore CRM Properties and Records
What is it?
Seamlessly Restore CRM Data automatically captures the last 20 versions of your CRM data (45 for contacts), so that you can undo any changes in the last 14 days.
Why does it matter?
You need to protect your data integrity and quickly fix mistakes. Without this feature, reverting unwanted changes is time-consuming and requires property history exports and imports.
Now you can:
- Quickly identify and restore recent property changes
- Maintain data accuracy without leaving HubSpot
- Reduce downtime and improve efficiency in managing your CRM data
How does it work?
Two entry points as a super admin:
- Settings > Data Management > Backup and Restore OR CRM > Actions > Restore Property Edits
- Filter by source, property type, and date (within the last 7 days)
- Review the changes you want to restore in a preview
- Click Restore to apply the changes
Note: This action overwrites current values with previous ones but doesn’t remove edit history. Restored records won’t re-enroll in workflows or lists except for initial enrollment.
Who gets it?
This feature is available for HubSpot Enterprise customers.
Best regards
