Reporting on repeat leads for existing contacts

Hi Everyone,

We are B2B and have a lot of repeat leads so our customers may make a purchase then go back to the website, fill in the form and put in a fresh enquiry. We count everything that comes in as an enquiry on the website or through live chat as an SQL. This works fine for new contacts but the issue is then showing these repeat customers in reports and in sales views. For example I have set up sales teams with a view of all their contacts SQL, lead status new or in progress as that means they haven’t yet got to a deal and sales need to take action. I also run SQL reports to show how many SQLs we get per month. The only workaround I have found to get these SQLs to show is to clear the lifecycle stage first in the workflow then it will let me set the value as SQL so they will pull into the reports.

My only other thought would be to create a custom object of lead to be reported on in it’s own right but seems quite a faff. I am just wondering if anyone else in B2B has this scenario and what solutions you have found to the problem?

I wanted to tag a couple of subject matter experts to get their input on this matter:

hi @Ben_M, @ConnorSlivensky, @NicoleSengers, do you have any advice about managing SQLs who are repeat customers? Thank you!
