Reporting on full months only

Looking for tips on how to create a report that shows full months of data only.

Specifically, I want to see data plotted for last 12 months but don’t want to view any partial months and can’t work out how to do that. ie, if viewing on 12 Feb, only want to see to the end of Jan. I prefer not to have to amend date ranges each month.

I’ve created in Custom Report Builder and presently have the filter set to Create Date is Last 365 days.

X-axis - Create Date - Monthly.

Aggreation - none

Date part - none (I tried using date part as monthly but that then plots a Jan-Dec view regardless of the year, which is confusing to interpret.)

Frequency - Monthly

Sort - Value/Ascending

y-axis Count of contacts

Maybe I’m missing something simple?

For exactly 12 months, this is not possible, no. This would certainly be useful to have and you could request from the product team: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas

As far as workarounds go, setting the date range manually is indeed the best option for now.
