Hi there,
Just updating our subscription lists and notice the customers can opt out of one to one emails.
Should I remove this subscription? What does everyone else do. Ideally it’s a good subscription but don’t want people to unsubscribe when managing there preferences?
This is because one to one emails are not marketing emails?
Hi @liamkelman,
Unfortunately, you cannot fully remove this subscription. Certain actions in your portal will automatically re-add it. That’s why I’d recommend not to try to remove it but to find a way to better describe what the description type does. (You can use the subscription description field for this.)
This can be a speaking description, such as “Please don’t unsubscribe from this. We use this channel to reach out to when we identify contact we find useful for you”, for example.
(Also, please consider that you might be required to give your contacts the ability to unsubscribe from this subscription type. I’d recommend reaching out to your legal team to confirm.)
Hope this helps!
Hi Karsten,
Good point about giving people the option to unsubscribe from one to one emails. That makes sense and should be kept in.
Thanks for the info.
