With the prospecting tool enabled, the lead status property should disappear from the UI but it doesn’t and it is causing confusion.

It is now not needed and confusing as we are using the new Leads capability in Sales which has it’s own native workflow and lead status naming convention.
This is effectively deprecated in my instance but as it is a default property I can’t seem to control it and it is going to end up in bad data if I can’t manage it effectively.
Yes, please remove this! I have removed it from the Contact record but when we use the prospecting space it is still there and VERY confusing for new users. We have Lead Stage and Lifesysle Stage, we do not need Lead Status anymore. We should be able to customize this interface. Leaving it there leaves room for misinterpretaion and excessive work.
