Question on Journey Analytics

I’m running into something odd with the Journey Analytics- see the pictures attached. We are mapping customers from
Webinar Registration → Attendance → Form Fill → Opp Stage
But when I remove the Registration stage, the numbers change for each stage. Has anyone run into anything similar? I assumed the Attendance change was due to internal team members / hosts that joined in on the webinar, but it’s a 65 person difference; and that doesn’t explain the change in Form Fills or Opp stage drops. Any ideas? I’m the first person on my team to utilize the Journey Analyzer so I’m trying to tackle its quirks.

Hi @GCamper,

Two things might be happening (more more, but these two seem likely).

  • Your webinar tool captured attendance for contacts but not their registration. This would have to be checked in the webinar settings and/or with the webinar solution support.
  • Your report is filtered by a date range and that’s set to 90 days. Theoretically, there might have been registrations before that date range which are excluded in your first screenshot. Since the attendance for these excluded contacts happened within the date range, that might explain some of the discrepancy.

Best regards!

Thanks Karsten, I had that thought as well, but we have very quick webinar turnarounds, at most a month-long registration period. So that 90 days doesn’t add into this discrepancy. I’m going to check on the webinar tool’s settings in case your first bullet is happening here! Appreciate the feedback!
