Hello Everyone.
I figured out how to connect my personal email to Hubspot. However for some reason, I cant seem to understand where I go to send messages or to respond to a message.
I know under the team email I go to the inbox in Hubspot and can see all the emails / tickets.
Also, when I create a new email, it only lets me select the team email to send.
I am on the free tier. Is this a restriction since its free?
Hi @Captivated,
One to one emails are composed directly from a contact, company, deal or ticket record, by clicking the email icon in the top left corner: Send and manage one-to-one emails
You will only see replies to emails sent from the CRM directly on those records or in your email client. This is explained here: Understand reply-only email logging rules
HubSpot generally assumes that you’re still using an email client along with HubSpot for your personal emails. There is no inbox for personal emails directly inside of HubSpot.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
Thank you
Will contacts be automatically created when new emails arrive in the personal email account, or will I have to create the contacts myself and only then the emails will be tracked?
Also: is it possible to share my personal mail with the team, so the box will turn into a “public” box?
When a user sends a tracked and logged email to a prospect, a contact is created automatically. Incoming emails will not automatically create a contact unless they are replies to a tracked email sent from the HubSpot user.
Technically you can connect your personal inbox to the team channel and all emails will be accessible by all team members.
Thanks for the information. Something which is not yet clear to me. When replying an email in the team-inbox, I can not assign a signature to the mail. Can you assist me with that?
Sure, @fetz! This Knowledge Base article on setting up the inbox will give you instructions for adding a team signature to your conversations.
