# new leads by month

Hello -
I’m wanting to create a comparison bar chart of # of New leads by month (while filtering out customers), but I’m stuck getting started.
I’m new when it comes to creating reports (and I have an entire list to get through), so any tips are greatly appreciated!

Hi @asiaferguson,

You can create a custom report to compare the number of leads by month.
Are you measure number of leads on a contact or company level?

  • Create single object contact or company report
  • Data - selected properties
    • Count of contacts or companies
    • Create date or Date entered “Lead (Lifecycle Stage Pipeline)”
  • Filters
    • Create date is all time
    • Filter to exclude customers or any other type of contacts / companies
  • Visualization
    • Bar Chart
